TT Spit F.

TT Spit F.

TT Spit F.

Although the Spit F. is based on the TT 18-Watt platform, it has not much in common with the kit of the Marshall 18 Watt.

The Spit F. is a full Matchless Spitfire clone with a straight forward design and all benefits which one would expect from a classic single channel tube amp. From clean to mean, purists will get a lot of sound for their money.

Note

The Stand-By switch is not a mute switch. In Standby, a small current flows, which helps to protect the switch and the rectifier tube but won't mute the amp totally. If one does not want this protection but a full muted amp, then one can remove the resistor (R20) which is paralleled to the switch. We do not recommend this modification, use it on your own risk.

Warning!

Care is necessary during construction! Even though this is a low-watt amp, the voltages used are potentially fatal. This amp is NOT a beginner's project!
A successful build requires that you can read (and understand!) a schematic diagram, you know how to use various measuring devices, and you have some experience working with voltages over 60V.
